Shout out to @morganlbusse keeping me sane this week with her AMAZING Ravenwood Saga, beginning with Mark of the Raven! Oh my goodness y'all, there's a character in here SO similar to Brooke from my Katrosi Revolution series, down to the braids and split skirt and *SPOILERS*. I didn't steal her, Morgan, I promise! 😂

Baby is here!! She is healthy but in the NICU since she came a few weeks early. Doing well though!

Ya girl is in a different hospital after an ambulance ride for to postpartum preeclampsia. I had blood pressure in the 220s at one point--they say I should have been in a helicopter instead of an ambulance (dang, that would have been epic). God saved me from a stroke or seizure. He is good, all the time!

Prayers for our family are greatly appreciated as my hubby and firstborn also have strep right now... 🤦‍♀️

Working on editing the last chapters of Lotusfall from the hospital bed... Yes, really. 😁🤠😘

Lotusfall update!!

Edits are barreling forward full-steam, and my goal is to get Lotusfall to the printers within a week!

That means it should be finally published and in your hands sometime in November!!

Until then, would anyone like a sneak peek of the first few chapters? 😁🦊

It is with many much sadness that I have resigned

It is with many much sadness that I have resigned from my position as Creative Director at Enclave Publishing.

Many much. But I am still doing typesetting, interior book design, and the occasional map artwork for Enclave books!

With the pregnancy arose some health issues, and I felt God telling me to step down and focus on motherhood for this new baby—something my doctor told me was impossible 7 years ago, after we had our first child and the next two went to heaven.

So I focused on my career, but it turns out Jehovah Rapha had other plans. The health problems began resolving swiftly as soon as I obeyed Him and stepped down, and now both the baby and I are doing well.

Let me assure you, God is worthy of your trust.

The incredible team at Enclave got to work immediately to cover my responsibilities and have done an amazing job adjusting and rising to the occasion. I am so grateful for everyone on the team, including Steve, Trissina, Lindsay, Collin, Charmagne, Laurie, and more. Working with y'all has been an absolute dream job, and I am so happy to be able to continue working together with my typesetting! Thank you all so much.

But of course I'm not going anywhere, and I'm not going to stop writing. I have an update on Lotusfall coming soon—progress is being made! Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for having to dodge so many curveballs this year.

This wasn't the path I foresaw or planned for myself. There is still many much sadness. But I know that the Author of my life writes the best plot twists with the most epic conclusions. So if this is the way He is leading, I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
