Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

What are you thankful for from 2024, what were your favorite reads, and what are you looking forward to in 2025?

I'll go first! 😄 Here are some of my favorite memories from 2024:
- New baby girl!
- New house (well, new to us, LOL) in a new small Texas town!
- The solar eclipse
- Discovering a new favorite cheese, Merlot BellaVitano 🤤
- Scaring @trissinalovesbooks in costume as fat Thor at Realm Makers
- Betraying Team Sci-Fi in the war 😈
- Chatting with the Lorehaven @lorehavenmag guys on the Fantastical Truth podcast
- Finding an awesome women's Bible study group
- Picking soooo many blueberries & blackberries at a local farm
- Finalizing Felix's backstory for The Katrosi Revolution 🔥🔥🔥
- Growing purple cauliflower in the garden
- Creating a really unique 3-part map for the Out of Time series special edition hardcover box set @enclavepublishing
- Watching how God provided for us and protected our family in so many ways this year!

Things I'm looking forward to in 2025:
- Writing more: finishing The Katrosi Revolution quartet and starting a new story... 😁
- Cooking from scratch more often
- Spending more time outside, unplugged from technology
- Disciplining myself to daily quiet times & prayer
- Making time to enjoy creating artwork for books (not just as a job)
- Getting back into Dungeons & Dragons with friends
- Reading more, especially before bedtime!

OK, wow, that was a lot.

Writing it out helps me to be more intentional, though... It's so easy to doomscroll, isn't it? Here's to touching grass in 2025! 😁

I just want to thank everyone who prayed for us and supported us in various ways during this difficult time. We aren't quite out of the storm yet, but I can finally see the end of the tunnel (it's lit up by Christmas lights). We are so incredibly blessed!

Thanks also to everyone at @enclavepublishing for their understanding, patience, and flexibility while we were in the hospital and the long, pothole-filled road to recovery afterward. And for this cozy organic cotton baby blanket they sent from @proclaimxbiblein365!

To my family and church family and friends near and far, to those who sent gifts and food delivery gift cards from all across the US, to those who visited us in the hospital, to those who dropped off goodies and groceries and hot meals on our porch, to those who came and cleaned piles of dishes when I didn't even ask, to those who provided childcare and dog care, to those who prayed diligently and approached the holy throne day after day on our behalf... I don't know what we would have done without you all. You all demonstrated what Christianity is about: true love.

This Instagram post can't possibly communicate my gratitude. But at least it has baby toes.
