micah

My dear child,

Your father and I are so excited to meet you. We are heartbroken that we cannot do so in the way we wanted.
When they told us you had no heartbeat, we were shocked. Our hearts were shattered into so many pieces that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to find them all again.
I miss you so much. Your father and I have never been in so much pain.
But at the same time, we have a peace that can only be from Yahweh. We trust that he knows what is best for you, your big sister Anaiyah, your father, and me. God is a loving father who always does right by his children, and we believe he will raise you right.
We decided to name you Micah. It means, ‘Who is like God?’ in Hebrew. We don’t always understand why God allows or causes certain things to happen, or why he decided to stop knitting you together in my womb. But what we do know is that he is always good, beyond compare. Always.
I love you more than you can know, and I can’t wait to show you one day. Be brave, my child, and grow in wisdom and strength. Don’t forget that you have a family on earth who will never forget you.

Jesus loves me, this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to him belong
They are weak but he is strong
